Christopher M. Murphy

Christopher Murphy is a partner at Doran & Murphy, PLLC. He has a strong background in the railroad and construction industries, as well as in labor law. As a former construction worker, he understands the primary importance of workplace safety and is passionate about the rights of injured workers.

About

Mr. Murphy has been repeatedly recognized as a “Super Lawyer” by Thomson Reuters, most recently in this year. He has devoted his practice to personal injury litigation and successfully helped clients seriously injured in railroad and construction accidents, workplace accidents, automobile wrecks, defective products cases (products liability), and premises liability cases. He also has extensive experience in the representation of clients suffering from occupational cancer, mesothelioma, and asbestos-related pulmonary disease. During many years of practice, Mr. Murphy has represented injured persons from all over the country and achieved significant results for his clients and their families.

Mr. Murphy is an active member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and recently served as the Secretary/Treasurer of the AAJ Railroad Litigation Group. He is also an active member of the Academy of Rail Labor Attorneys (ARLA) which is the premier professional association of attorneys focusing on the representation of injured railroad workers. In addition, he is a member of the New York Academy of Trial Lawyers and the New York State Trial Lawyers Association. He previously taught Law and Politics in the Honors Program at the State University of New York at Buffalo where he served as an Adjunct Professor.

Mr. Murphy is married and is the proud father of three girls. When not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, biking, skiing, and golfing. He is also active with St. Mark Church and School where he serves on the School Board, Parish Council, Parish Finance Committee and is a Parish Trustee.
