Some active and retired railroaders do not realize that the Railroad Employees National Health and Welfare Plan may provide them with a life insurance benefit. Most employees know if they are provided with a life insurance policy while they are active employees. However, many railroad retirees do not realize that they may also be entitled to a different life insurance benefit under the plan.
